MGC MXDA XA-1

MGC is an international producer of chemicals and materials that completed the construction of a Meta-Xylene Diamine (MXDA) production plant to meet increasing market demand and strengthen its strategic geographical position.

MXDA is an aromatic diamine with the chemical formula C₈H₁₃N₃. It is widely used in polymer chemistry as a crosslinking or curing agent in epoxy resins, polyurethanes, coatings, adhesives, and elastomers. Due to its hazardous nature, the project required strict safety controls throughout handling, storage, and installation activities to protect personnel and the environment.

The project involved multiple disciplines and interfaces, requiring careful coordination to ensure safe and efficient execution within an active industrial setting.

Our Contribution

KRAFT supported the project as the Mechanical and Piping Contractor, working in close alignment with the engineering team and the client. Our scope focused on delivering mechanical and piping works that met stringent safety, quality, and technical requirements.

Execution was carried out with a strong emphasis on interface management and coordination with parallel disciplines to ensure smooth integration with other project scopes.

• Mechanical and piping installation works
• Coordination with engineering and construction stakeholders
• Interface management with civil, structural, architectural, firefighting, railway, electrical installation and instrumentation works

The Result

The MXDA plant was completed in line with project requirements, with all mechanical and piping works executed safely and in compliance with applicable standards. Effective coordination across disciplines minimized disruptions and supported reliable integration of all systems.
